1. Introduction

Welcome to CVanty ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our AI-powered CV generation service (the "Service"). CVanty is based in Guatemala City.

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Service.

2. Service Description

CVanty provides a platform for:

  • AI-assisted CV content generation and enhancement.
  • Data extraction from uploaded documents (including PDFs and images).
  • Professional CV templates and PDF export functionality.
  • User account management and data storage.

3. Account Registration

  • Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) to use this Service.
  • Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration and CV creation process.

4. AI Content Disclaimer

  • No Guarantee of Accuracy: CVanty uses artificial intelligence to generate and extract professional content. AI can make mistakes or "hallucinate" facts.
  • User Responsibility: You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and editing all generated content for accuracy, truthfulness, and professional suitability before using it for job applications or any other purpose.
  • No Guarantee of Employment: CVanty does not guarantee that using our Service will result in job offers, interviews, or employment.

5. Payments and Subscriptions

  • Processor: All payments are processed through Recurrente, a third-party payment provider. We do not store your full credit card details.
  • Billing: Subscriptions are billed in advance based on your chosen plan.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will maintain access to premium features until the end of your current paid billing period or until expiration.
  • Refunds: Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis and are granted at the sole discretion of CVanty.

6. Intellectual Property

  • Your Content: You retain all ownership rights to the personal data and content you provide. You grant CVanty a limited license to process this data solely to provide the Service.
  • Our Property: CVanty, including its logo, design, software, and "CVanty" branding, is our intellectual property and we will protect it by law.
  • The Output: You own the final PDF/CV generated through the Service for your personal professional use.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any fraudulent or illegal purpose.
  • Generate CVs with the intent of containing false, misleading, or defamatory information.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service.
  • Upload files containing viruses or malicious code.

8. Third-Party Services and Tracking

  • Service Providers: We use third-party tools including Google Gemini (for AI processing), Supabase (for data storage), and Recurrente (for payments).
  • Tracking & Analytics: By using the Service, you acknowledge that we use tracking technologies, including the TikTok Pixel, Meta Pixel, and Matomo Analytics, as described in our Privacy Policy. These tools help us analyze user behavior and optimize our marketing efforts.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • CVanty is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis.
  • We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including loss of data or employment opportunities) arising from your use of the Service.
  • Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to CVanty in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice on our platform. Continued use of the Service after changes constitute your acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Guatemala. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the competent courts of Guatemala City.
